The single swing gate opener’s robot arm appeared strong and unobstructed, so we next opened up the box itself to look at the motor. One of the gears came loose and wasn’t making full contact with the motor, and also had bent out of shape against the cable spool. We replaced the offending component and cleaned and oiled the rest, resolving the issue.
